What to do with Instagram photos?

Finally something above the piano.  I had a lot of our instagram photos printed out from Printstagram
The quality is pretty good, some of the photos were really grainy but we figured out those we ones that we sent from D's phone and then put in instagram- so basically the quality was lowered by texting it over to my phone.  We used small nails and some gray sewing thread I had laying around.  To attach the photos I used mini clothes pins.  They were left over in my craft box from our wedding, purchased them from paper source.  I like that it was an affordable solution to such a large space. I had most of the stuff on hand, but even if I didn't thread, nails, and those pins would be less then $10.  I can also change out the pictures whenever I feel like, which is nice since I like to re-evaluate things around the house.

So with all the craziness going on (showing our house for renters *think we found a cute family today*, packing up boxes, researching for my private practice, trying to rehome one of our dogs, and all the regular stuff that we do) I do not have a real post to put up- so instead some pictures from the last 2 weeks.

Slowing Down

This cold has forced me to slow down- I haven't exercised in 8 days, I just came back from my first mom group since mid November, and I'm just trying not to have too many expectations or demands on myself.  I have settled with no thinking/planning my next career move till after the new year.  This means no looking into private practice stuff, no browsing craigslist job ads, no planning/ruminating- just being with the fact that I finished something I began years before- a huge accomplishment that will be there for me in 2012.

Yesterday we attempted taking our own family portraits- potentially for a holiday card.  It didn't turn out as I had hoped- hence the attempted.  Some of them are cute, but not what I was hoping for- and L was so not in the mood.  He is strong willed and that will was not to stay still for photos or smile at the camera.  He was scrambling out of our arms, heading towards steep hills, messing with the tripod, touching the camera lens- it was a lot of work.  Photos used to be easy when he wasn't mobile.  Here's a few from the day.

All Clean

Went to the dentist yesterday (finally found one I like). The hygienist, upon learning I do therapy with addicts, spent an hour telling me her whole family's experience with addiction...



I really do love that clean feeling afterwards though...My laptop is still dead so I'm posting from the iPhone- takes much longer.

Bad Dog!

Well bad cat too!  It seems my cat Incubus and dog Pax have teamed up to destroy the memory card for our camera!  Yeah it only has a ton of pictures and some video on it!  Incubus knocked it off the table, and then Pax devoured it before I arrived on the scene to photo graph the remains.  Hopefully there wasn't anything on there D needed....like footage.

Holiday Card

I really wanted to have a picture of D, L, and I for the card, but we never seemed to have the time or energy.  It would have required us getting dressed up, setting up the tripod, and hopefully capturing at least one good shot of all of us.  We have nice camera equipment so I couldn't justify paying a photographer to take our photos.  We settled on just shooting L in a Xmas outfit grandma got him with the tree/lights in the background.  We then went over to Tiny Prints to choose a template- I think they have the best designs (Minted also had really nice designs but they were slightly more expensive, the shipping would take longer and we go coupon codes for Tiny Prints).
